Take the stones out of the cherries and try to keep your cherries as whole as possible. Easiest to do this is by using a small machine for this.
Take a jar of at least 750 ml
Add a layer of cherries to the jar and then add a layer of the sugar, repeat until the jar is full.
Then add the cinnamon stick and the cloves between the cherries.
Fill the jar with Brandy.
Put it aside on a dark and cool place for at least 2 weeks. Regularly check the jar to see if you need to add more Brandy as the cherries will absorb the alcohol.
Nice on Vanilla ice cream for instance
