Greek Applie Pie (Milopita)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp Clove powder
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon powder
  • ½ tsp Ginger powder
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 capsule Vanilla I used a dash of vanilla extract

Apple pie filling

  • 2-3 large Apples sliced
  • 6 tbsp Sugar brown or white
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • ½ cup Raisins
  • Powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp Butter

Instructions
 

  • Grease a 28-cm round nonstick pan with butter
  • Directly in the pan, add 3 tablespoons sugar, the sliced apples, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 3 tablespoons sugar, and the raisins.
  • In a bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, clove, and baking powder
  • Continue adding the rest of the ingredients and keep stirring until you have a thick mixture
  • Pour the mixture on top of the apples and put the pan in the oven at 170 to 175°C for about 30 minutes
  • When the apple pie cools down, turn it upside down on a plate and sprinkle powdered sugar on top
  • Mine absolutely flopped, the result was flat, but it tasted good
