Greek Applie Pie
Greek Applie Pie (Milopita)
Ingredients
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- ½ tsp Clove powder
- 1 tsp Cinnamon powder
- ½ tsp Ginger powder
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Milk
- 4 Eggs
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 capsule Vanilla I used a dash of vanilla extract
Apple pie filling
- 2-3 large Apples sliced
- 6 tbsp Sugar brown or white
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- ½ cup Raisins
- Powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp Butter
Instructions
- Grease a 28-cm round nonstick pan with butter
- Directly in the pan, add 3 tablespoons sugar, the sliced apples, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 3 tablespoons sugar, and the raisins.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, clove, and baking powder
- Continue adding the rest of the ingredients and keep stirring until you have a thick mixture
- Pour the mixture on top of the apples and put the pan in the oven at 170 to 175°C for about 30 minutes
- When the apple pie cools down, turn it upside down on a plate and sprinkle powdered sugar on top
- Mine absolutely flopped, the result was flat, but it tasted good
