Equipment
- 1 big pan
Ingredients
- 1 kg beef steaks (runderlappen) room temperature
- 100 g salted butter
- 6 onions in rings
- 50 g flour
- 2 beef broth tablets
- 800 ml water
- 6 cloves
- 4 dried bay leaves
- 8 tbsp vinegar
- 6 tbsp ketjap manis
Instructions
- Cut meat in cubes 2x2cm and sprinkle with salt
- Heat up the butter in the pan, fry the meat in 3 minutes golden brown
- Fry the onion rings for 6 minutes on low temperature in the butter from the meat
- Add flour and fry for about 5 minutes
- Add the broth tablets, water, cloves and bay leaves. Bring to a boil
- Take the pan off the heat, add vinegar, ketjap and meat
- Stir and put the lid on the pan and put the pan back on low heat
- Let it simmer for 4 hours and then take the lid off the pan
- Remove the bay leaves and cloves, add some pepper and salt
- Remove from the heat after an other hour and enjoy!
