Basic recipe cookies

I got this book for my birthday from my dad in 2020 and this book has SO MANY great recipes! I have been looking for a perfect cookie dough, but have not found it untill now. Crunchy on the outside, but soft-ish on the inside. Its almost like these Subway cookies. Heavenly!

Ingredients
  

  • 140 g Butter Room temperature!
  • 110 g Sugar
  • 100 g (light-)brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Can use Vanilla paste instead
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg Room temperature!
  • 210 g Flour
  • 3/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 200 g Chocolate chips and / or nuts,…anything you like really

Instructions
 

  • Mix butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla paste/extract and salt in a bowl for several minutes until creamy and airy
  • Mix egg in
  • Add flour and baking soda and knead it through
  • At the last moment add in the chocolate chips/nuts and mix untill well distributed through the dough
  • Make a roll of the dough with diameter of around 4 cm and put in plastic foil
  • Put this roll in the fridge for at least 1 hour
  • This roll can also be frozen so you can use it at a later point
  • Preheat the oven on 175 degrees celcius
  • But baking sheet on baking tray
  • Cut the dough in slices of around 1,5-2cm and place these with enough space between them on the baking tray
  • Bake the cookies 12-17 minutes untill golden brown
  • Cool them down
  • Enjoy!
