Appelflappen (New years eve)
APPELFLAPPEN (NEW YEARS EVE)
Equipment
- 1 big bowl
- Frying pan
Ingredients
- 2 Eggs
- 300 ml Milk OR 150ml milk and 150ml beer
- 250 g Self raising Flour Recipe on this website
- 4 Elstar Apples
- 3 tbps Lemon juice
- Frying oil Sunflower oil is what I use
- 50 g Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
Instructions
- Mix eggs with half of the milk
- Add flour in parts and stir to a smooth batter
- Add while stirring the rest of the milk
- Take the core out of the apples and peel the apples
- Slice into 1cm thick slices
- Heat up the oil to 180 degrees Celcius
- With a fork pick up an apple slice and put it in the batter untill fully covered
- Then slide the slice into the hot oil
- Fry for 3 minutes until golden brown, please turn the apple after 1,5 minute
- Take the appelflappen out of the oil and let them drain
- Mix sugar and cinnamon powder and drizzle over the appelflappen
- Enjoy!
